bunny in second life™

So I guess I never really… REALLY realized how much of my SL depends on a constant stream of money. My Ozimals bunnies, my blog, social events, hunts, theme projects, so on and so forth – spend spend SPEND, baby! It’s been difficult for me this week, to really start facing the realities of my RL situation – realities which translate into my SL as a cease fire of the pocketbook. =P

I’m still having a blast in SL – but I am limiting my spending while doing so. Instead of buying everything from 50LF without thinking of it, I picked and chose carefully, and bought only four things of the possible… twelve? With stumblebum and themeory part 2 looming in my very near future, I am starting to get the shakes… and with the shakes comes the burning question – Am I really addicted to shopping in my second life?

I think I have to admit that the answer is yes.

The real irony of all this is – I am NOT a shopping person IRL. I am “addicted” to a lot of things… food, romance novels, caffeine, laziness. But I have never been one of those girls who can happily spend hours in the mall and buy everything up, I’ve never camped in from of the TV compulsively calling the HSN 800 number. I don’t have 968456496745867458 pairs of shoes or endless tiny tea pots or anything like that. And I LOATHE clothes shopping IRL – my biggest weakness in SL.

Anyway, that’s enough self reflection for today. There’s been a lot going on ISL for me lately. I am trying hard to get a job, and I think I might have found one. Diligently breeding rabbits takes up more time than you’d think. And of course hanging out with my delightful Meila. *happy dance*

Earlier today plurk decided to really mindfuck me, possibly in karmic retribution for my sneaky “I’m going to fan you even though I can’t have fans in return thus forcing you to friend me to see what kind of person I am because I’m too shy to friend people first” strategy which was again, successful.

We made a new friend yesterday, and he hung out with us this afternoon and made, well, I’ll just come right out and say it. Giant rideable vibrators. With hearts on them. Yup. Pictures are worth 1000 words ladies…

I tried to get Meila to go for a spin, but I don’t think “ride my vibe” was a very compelling offer. =P Not to mention my embarrassment when her mom and lil sis showed up to check out what we were doing and find their precious Meila’s new girlfriend riding a phallus around the lawn…

I honestly don’t know what exactly inspired Ayden Alchemi to build giant sex toys… I guess the reason is not important. =P The important thing is, I have a giant vibrator, and I am riding it. We then raced them in circles around our land…
